# From Prompt Chaos to Prompt System in 30 Days
Your prompts are scattered everywhere. Here's a practical 30-day plan.
Create a dump folder. Hunt for prompts across chat interfaces, personal notes, Slack, code repos. Ask the team to contribute.
Create a spreadsheet cataloging each prompt: name, function, status, owner, source. Identify duplicates and gaps.
Create folder structure. Move prompts. Add minimal documentation for each production prompt.
Set up version control. Establish workflows for adding and changing prompts. Communicate to the team. Review and adjust.
After 30 days you'll have all prompts in one place, organized, versioned, documented, with a clear process. Not perfect, but infinitely better than chaos.
Day 1 is whenever you decide it is. Create the dump folder today.
